In prison for 15 years a 50-year-old man was convicted, who was accused by his stepdaughter of raping her for two years and while she was a minor, in Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki.
Examining the case in the second degree, the Mixed Jury Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki found him again guilty of abuse of a minor and rape, without recognizing him as a mitigating factor.
At first instance he was sentenced to 16 years in prison, while after his (new) conviction, he returned to prison.
In his apology, the defendant denied the act, stressing – among other things – that the complaint was made for vindictive reasons. Regarding messages of sexual content that he allegedly sent to the victim via mobile phone, he said that they were not his.
The case took the path of Justice, when the 21-year-old (today) complainant addressed the Directorate of Minors Protection in Thessaloniki. As he described, her 50-year-old stepfather had, at least since 2019, performed sexual acts against her, which he attempted to do again on Easter 2021, when she decided to report him. The mother, according to herself, did not know the least bit about the nightmare she was living
