Temporary prisonersafter their confession before an investigator, the two arrested for the explosion in the car of the Police of the DIAS Group, in Chania, were judged today.

These are two Greeks aged 55 and 57, as Cretalive wrote, who were charged with a felony last Thursday, when they were brought before a Prosecutor, requesting a deadline for their statement.

It is recalled that the incident took place on 2 in the morning on Wednesday when the improvised device with dynamite that had been placed under the vehicle of the 36-year-old police officer exploded. The car was parked in the basement of the policeman’s two-story residence and the explosion damaged two motorcycles parked in the same area.

Speaking to ERT, the defense attorney of the 55-year-old perpetrator, Aristomenis Tzevelekos, pointed out that, “with the agreement of the prosecutor and the investigator, it was decided as a measure of procedural coercion to temporarily detain my client for 6 months. My client denies the charges and is awaiting the conclusion of the main investigation. From then on let him be judged when the time comes and say what he has said. He requested an expert opinion that he was also present at the incident. There is no evidence from the cameras.”
