In the arrest of a 65-year-old man for pimping on Tuesday night, police officers moved to his area Municipality of Malevizi.

In addition, a case file was filed against him for violations of the Personal Data and Weapons Legislation.

More specifically, from the police investigation and preliminary investigation, it was found that the 65-year-old, as the manager of the store, promoted a 38-year-old woman to prostitution with patrons of the store, for a monetary fee, obtaining an illegal financial benefit.

According to ELAS, a coordinated police operation was carried out by police officers from the Malevizi Police Department and the Heraklion Crime Prevention and Suppression Team, during which a police officer pretending to be a customer went to the store in order to have sex with the victim for a sum of money.

After the payment of the sum of money (which was pre-marked), the citizen was arrested.

From the beginning the sum of 200 euros was confiscated including the pre-marked amount of money. A search of the store followed, during which the following were found and confiscated:

-a flashlight with a taser-type electric discharge function,

-a taser-discharge device and closed-circuit security recorder. The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Malevizi Police Department.
