Today the 25-year-old trapper, who along with another person is accused of the attack on a 22-year-old student in the center of Thessaloniki, is being pardoned. The Public Prosecutor has brought criminal proceedings against him for attempted joint and serial murder.

According to the lawsuit, the incident happened in the early hours of January 23 near the intersection of Syngrou and Egnatia streets. According to the statements collected by the police, the 23-year-old who was with two other students, seeing the trapper said to his group “he is known” and then he was attacked. According to the complaint, the trapper headbutted the young man and immediately after that a second person kicked him in the body, causing him to fall to the ground.

The 23-year-old returned to his home, where he fell asleep, which probably contributed to the deterioration of his health. According to information, when he woke up he felt very unwell, he had no good contact with the environment and his words were unintelligible, which is why he was taken to the hospital. He was found to have severe head injuries and a hematoma on his head and had to undergo a six-hour operation, while he is still being treated at AHEPA hospital.

The trapper reportedly maintains that he did not realize the serious injury of the student, as, after the incident, everyone left the scene. Police investigations into the second attacker are ongoing.
