Program of intensive sterilization of stray animals implemented by the Municipality of Thessaloniki, which at the same time offers free of charge for the controlled animals of citizens with low income.

The Municipality of Thessaloniki invites all animal-loving volunteer citizens to become helpers in his effort, so that the population of homeless animals can be reduced and their well-being ensured.

You can register your participation by calling 2313318716, 2313318717, 2313318719 & 2313317615 between the hours of 09.00 – 17.00 from Monday to Friday, in order to help sterilize, electronically mark and vaccinate the strays you care for in your neighborhood.

For emergencies involving injured animals, you can also call 2133317777 after 17.00.

Also, the Municipality of Thessaloniki undertakes the free electronic tagging, vaccination and sterilization of domesticated pets (cats and dogs) of citizens who belong to sensitive and vulnerable social groups (people with disabilities, large families, single-parent families, unemployed registered in the registers of the O.A.E.D. and citizens with a tax return of less than 10,000 euros).
