The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis, sent an invitation to the farmers, so that a delegation of the bloc’s coordinator could come today or tomorrow to Athens for dialogue, with open roads, via SKAI 100.3.

He pointed out that farmers’ demands such as the reduction of VAT on fertilizers and animal feed and the reduction of VAT on agricultural machinery have been met.
At the same time, the farmers are further escalating their mobilizations from today with the simultaneous closure of points on the national and provincial network in all blocks, while next week they will hold a rally in Athens with tractors.
In central Macedonia, at 13:00 and for 30 minutes, farmers close the road blocks in Malgara, Derveni, Strymoniko, Chalkidona and Kouloura.
At 3 am the farmers of Almyros will close the Athens-Thessaloniki national road.
In Thessaly at 5 pm the roadblocks in Platykambos, Karditsa and Stefanovikio are closed.
Today, the farmers in Nea Moudania will proceed with a new two-hour symbolic blockade from 6 to 8 in the evening.
