February 15 has been established as World Day Against Childhood Cancerat the initiative of the International Association of Parents with Children with Cancer (ICCCPO), to inform the international public about childhood neoplasms (cancer).
According to the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease “Flame”, cancer is the leading cause of death in children after accidents. In our country, about 300 children get sick every year.
It is a rare, life-threatening disease. It is not a disease but dozens of different forms. It is different from adult cancer and therefore requires specialized treatment and treatment.
According to the Association, early diagnosis and appropriate medical care lead to healing for most children.
“It is important to have the right information, but also to continue our efforts so that all children have access to appropriate treatments,” he said in a statement.
As every year, the Flame participates in the awareness-raising activities jointly organized by Childhood Cancer International (CCI), the international body of parent-patient associations, and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP).
On this year’s 20th anniversary of Childhood Cancer Day, we honor children and teens with cancer through the Tree of Life.
We use a global symbol of growth and renewal to send a strong message: We can achieve better survival for childhood cancer #throughourhands.
Let’s all leave our mark and message of hope on the online Tree of Life at https://iccd.care/.
