Officials continue to maintain that a strong and immediate strike may have been expected, but are unable to identify the target at this time.
Trade of arms and explosives on behalf of organized crime groups are being examined by the officers of the Extortion Department for the four defendants, namely the 45-year-old convicted member of the “Nuclei of Fire”, the porter and the two OUKadas who were released.
According to the report by Panagiotis Spyropoulos in SKAI, the relevant officers continue and insist that a strong and immediate strike was expected, but they are currently unable to identify the target. They do not rule out that it was related to the supremacy of fuel smuggling.
It is noted that in the “microscope” of the authorities is the notebook and the mobile phones of the arrested.
It is recalled that a two-year and one-month prison sentence without parole was imposed by the Athens Single-Member Misdemeanor Court on the former leader of the “Conspiracy of Kernels of Fire”. The defendant will be sent to prison to serve the entire sentence.
He was previously charged with two misdemeanors. These are the misdemeanors of violating the Weapons Act and possession of drugs for personal use. The fourth defendant, a porter, was prosecuted for misdemeanor violation of the Arms Act.
