“The doctors and health staff of the EDs who will be transferring in another county from now on they will receive additional special compensation, which for doctors will amount to 1800 euros for each month they serve in NHS hospitals”, said the Deputy Minister characteristically, adding that “it is something that I have put to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance from the first moment I took office and today I am pleased to announce that an act will be implemented with a relevant legislative regulation”.

“I fully understand that there is a temporary disruption of the individual and family planning of the doctors who are asked to move to another prefecture – and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the self-sacrifice and sense of duty they demonstrate”, Mr. Kefalogiannis pointed out, underlining that the Armed Forces do not have a surplus of personnel, but “what is surplus in the ranks of the Armed Forces is a sense of responsibility.”
