“Tomorrow we will call representatives from all blocs in Greece to decide on the next escalation moves,” said the representative of the 15-member farmers’ committee, Mr. Tzellas.
The farmers were dissatisfied with yesterday’s meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Megaro Maximos, stressing that “practically no solutions were given to their requests”.
“Yesterday in the meeting with the prime minister, no solutions were given,” said the representative of the 15-member farmers’ committee in Thessaly, Mr. Tzellas, on Wednesday morning and added that the farmers will continue their mobilization with a descent into Athens and closure of the National Roads.
“We want actions, not words”
“I think that anyone who reads the requests we submitted and the government’s responses, will not be able to get anything positive, apart from the electricity – which of course does not apply to all farmers.”
“Substantial solutions and answers were not given yesterday, we want the government to understand the big problem we are facing, but not in words, in actions”, he stressed
“We don’t stop”
“The meeting is not held to tell us ‘you are right’, we do not need to see the prime minister again. What we are interested in is that solutions are given, solutions can only be given if we push”
“Everything is open, tomorrow we will call representatives from all blocs in Greece to decide the next moves to escalate our struggle. We are not stopping”, Mr. Tzelas clarified in all tones.
