The motive of the perpetrator behind the triple murder in Glyfada are being sought by the Authorities who are now considering all possibilities. It is expected that the data that will emerge from the removal of the phone privacy will shed light, while the large sums that the killer kept in bank accounts in Greece and abroad are also under the microscope.

A new deposit cycle opens

The last communications of the 76-year-old perpetrator are of investigative interest to the police. They have removed the phone privacy and are waiting for the first results from the mobile phone company. From these, as they report, they will look for the last person with whom the 76-year-old perpetrator had communicated, as well as contacts and other persons with whom he had frequent communication. They are focusing mainly on the last people he spoke to or met before the murderous attack, and these results will lead to a new round of statements, which they hope will lead to clues about his motive.

Regarding the lifting of bank secrecy, they want to see the movements of his accounts, mainly the Swiss account that had a deposit of 1.5 million euros, but also the others in Greece of 500,000 euros.

Beyond the economic-professional dimension of the case or his expulsion from home, the cause is being investigated to be personal.

As for the house where the 76-year-old lived who was allegedly evicted by the 77-year-old woman, it belongs to her shipowner brother. However, in the context of the legal dispute, there was also a claim to the particular house and the police do not rule out the possibility that the 77-year-old had told him to pack his things and leave.

When will the sister who escaped testify?

The 77-year-old woman was the main target as reported by the police and it appears from the statements so far. The motive remains unexplained for the police. There was a conversation – a dispute that doesn’t seem to be indicative of exactly what the cause is. However, it appears the perpetrator was determined as he went armed to the business to make things clear as he said. For this reason, the police consider the testimony of the 77-year-old sister, Despina Karnesi-Vlassaki, which will take place in the next period of time, to be crucial.
