Tragedy in Patras: A worker was killed while trying to escape control

by

An uninsured worker died tragically in a factory of the Patras Industrial Area.

The unfortunate young man was hiding on the roof of the industrial unit, in order to avoid the control of the competent services, as he was uninsured.

According to Eva Strati’s report for Ionian TV, in order to avoid control, both he and 17 other colleagues hid in various places. He chose, in his panic, to hide in the roof.

When he tried to go down, the roof collapsed, as a result of which the 22-year-old suffered severe head injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital.

Shocking is what the lawyer of the family of the unfortunate young man complains, that in the hospital he was declared by his employer with the name of another employee in the same company.

These allegations are refuted by the employer’s lawyer, who states that the 22-year-old himself had given false information, while he was normally insured.

The video from the tragic moments of the accident shocks and raises questions about the reasons that led the young man to hide to avoid control, since he was insured, as claimed by the employer.

It is worth noting that the factory was engulfed in flames, one day after the incident was reported to the Police, resulting in its complete destruction.
