A prisoner in French prisons, he is accused of having founded, with forged supporting documents, an IT company based in Athens. The business was suspended, while a case was filed against him for forgery and obtaining a false certificate.
According to an announcement by the Police, this is a 39-year-old French citizen, who is already incarcerated in the prisons of his country for a case of money laundering.
Information about his alleged criminal activity had been previously provided by the prosecuting authorities of France to the corresponding Greek authorities through Europol.
As it emerged from the investigation, the 39-year-old allegedly traveled to various European countries, using forged documents, in order to establish companies and open accounts in various credit institutions.
Among other things, he repeatedly visited Greece in the period 2020-’21, where “by using a fake passport of the Belgian authorities, he managed to obtain a tax identification number of foreign residents and then proceeded to establish a company based in Athens and subject to “Technical support services for technologies of information”, as stated in an announcement by EL.AS.
According to the same announcement, the company no longer exists, while also from GEMH. its registration is suspended as early as July 2023, as the debtor had not published the annual financial statements for the year 2021 on time.
