The first tractors arrived at the Castle of Boeotia amid applause, which will spend the night there in the evening and on Tuesday morning they will descend towards Athens where the rally is planned.
According to onlarissa.gr, the Larissa farmers started their journey to the capital from the Platykambos interchange this Monday morning, after first fueling their tractors and agricultural vehicles. Farmers cross the Larissa-Athens national road heading initially towards the Castle of Boeotia where they will join other colleagues from Thessaly, camp and spend the night tonight at that particular spot. Tomorrow Tuesday morning they will start again for the capital.
More than 60 tractors and a large number of farm vehicles. and agricultural machinery started from Thessaly while another 10 tractors were added from Atalanti. At the same time, farmers and breeders from Niseli, Imathia, have already loaded nine tractors into trucks which will spend the night at the Castle of Boeotia.
At the Castle of Boeotia where the farmers’ block is also, only 6 tractors are headed which are loaded on trucks and travel from Evros to Athens,
The presence of the farmers from Larissa will be particularly dynamic in tomorrow’s rally, as 10 buses have been chartered, while many will use their cars as a means of transport. It is estimated that more than 700 Larisa farmers will attend.
On the way to the capital and crossing the national road, the farmers did not stop honking, making their presence particularly noticeable.
