The specific number of positions resulted from the submission of corresponding requests by the municipalities
The announcement regarding the filling of 1,213 positions of permanent University, Technological and Secondary Education personnel in the Municipal Police was published. It is worth noting that this is the first time that an announcement has been published for the staffing of the Municipal Police in the last 14 years, as the last time recruitments were made in the respective services was in 2010.
The specific number of positions emerged after the submission of corresponding requests in which the municipalities proceeded, following an invitation from the Ministry of the Interior, in order to meet the staffing needs of their servicesimmediately after the legislation regarding the reform of the municipal police.
It is pointed out that this is the first time that recruitment to the Municipal Police will be carried out entirely through the Supreme Personnel Selection Board (S.S.E.P.).
In her statement, Ms. Kerameos stated that: “Our main concern is to constantly improve the services that Citizens receive both from the central State and from the Local Government. In this context, we are implementing the staffing of the Municipal Police, for the first time after 14 years, through a purely meritorious and completely impartial process under the A.S.E.P., in order to assist the Municipalities in the demanding work that is about improving the daily life of their citizens.».
In detail, for each category, the seats are distributed as follows:
Category of University Education (P.E.) – 208 posts, branches: PE MUNICIPAL POLICE, PE23 MUNICIPAL POLICE, PE MUNICIPAL POLICE, PE MUNICIPAL POLICE/SPECIAL PERSONNEL (MUNICIPAL POLICE), PE STAFF SPECIALIST (MUNICIPAL POLICE), PE SPECIAL PERSONNEL PIKO, PE OF SPECIAL STAFF UNIFORM (MUNICIPAL POLICE) , PE OF SPECIAL SERVICE (MUNICIPAL POLICE)
Technology Education Category (T.E.) – 218 positions, branches: TE OF MUNICIPAL POLICE, TE23 OF MUNICIPAL POLICE, TE OF MUNICIPAL POLICE, TE OF SPECIAL PERSONNEL, TE OF SPECIAL PERSONNEL/SPECIAL UNIFORM PERSONNEL (MUNICIPAL POLICE), TE SPECIAL UNIFORM PERSONNEL, TE SPECIAL OF PERSONNEL (MUNICIPAL POLICE), TE OF SPECIAL OFFICER STAFF (MUNICIPAL POLICE)
Category of Secondary Education (DE) – 787 posts, branches: MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT, MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT 23, MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT DEPARTMENT, SPECIAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT (MUNICIPAL POLICE POLICE DEPARTMENT), SPECIAL UNIFORMED PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT, SPECIAL UNIFORMED PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT (MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT), DEP. Candidates, who possess the required qualifications of the advertised positions, must:
· To complete and submit an application for participation in the A.S.E.P., exclusively through its website (www.asep.gr). The deadline for submitting electronic applications for participation begins on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on March 26, 2024, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
· Three euro bill, which the candidate procures electronically through the electronic receipt application (e-Receipt).
Those candidates invited by the A.S.E.P., before the compilation of the temporary lists of classification and appointees, must, within a period of ten working days set by the A.S.E.P., submit in electronic form, according to a relevant Notice to be issued, the necessary supporting documents to prove the qualifications, of their criteria and/or properties, taken into account based on their application for determining the order of priority in the ranking tables:
· Photocopy of both sides of the individual identity card or the relevant temporary certificate of the competent authority or the critical pages of the passport (i.e. those where the holder’s number and identification details are mentioned) or both sides of the driver’s license or the critical pages of the individual health record of any insurance company. If the date of birth does not appear from these, a certificate or birth certificate must also be presented.
· The necessary, as the case may be, supporting documents proving the qualifications, criteria or the qualities invoked by the candidates in their application for participation. In the event that the candidates do not provide the necessary supporting documents, as the case may be, to prove the qualifications, criteria and/or qualities that they declare with their application for participation in the procedure and that are taken into account for their ranking in the relevant tables, as the case may be, they are either deleted from them or their score is reformed.
A candidate who does not submit to A.S.E.P. after the relevant announcement, in electronic form the required supporting documents, is excluded from the further process.
