The prosecutor’s order of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court in detail.

With the no. prot. 1706/1-3-2023 document-order we assigned you the supreme supervision of the investigative work of the Tempe case, in accordance with article 32 paragraph a’ of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The superhuman efforts made by the prosecuting and investigative authorities for a year now are indisputable for the in-depth investigation and in the fastest possible time of as the above crime, not sparing time and effort, as we must, in order to achieve the identification of all the culprits and their referral to trial in an extremely short time, a goal to which we are currently very close, but which is by no means it is an end in itself, nor can it oppose the administration of justice itself, leading to specific investigative actions or excluding others, possibly imposed to find the truth.

Those practicing the function of counsel in support of the prosecution or defense in this case but also the entire legal world of the country and not only that, they know very well that never before in our judicial history has anything similar been achieved, without this implying that this operation of justice should not be self-evident and usual and not exceptional.

In the above context, as you know, we have forwarded to you without delay every memorandum and request of relatives of victims that was submitted to us, including their complaints about the causes of the fire explosion, the existence of various flammable and toxic substances in the area, the alteration of the crime scene, with possible loss of evidence, etc., which, moreover, have been independently submitted to you and to the Appellate Investigator, in order to be investigated, and you have, as we know, taken the necessary actions for this purpose.

Despite the above, however, protests and complaints from relatives of victims for unanswered questions, evidence that was not considered or properly assessedinvestigative actions that were omitted, even to cover up responsibilities from justice, are still spreading inside the country, but also abroad, supported by a section of the press.

After these it is imperative that you providein order to investigate and answer, after evaluation, at your discretion, every claim and complaint, put forward by relatives of victims or victims and their advocates, so that the end of the interrogation leaves no doubt that the prosecutors and investigative authorities investigated every aspect of the case, fulfilling their duty in full.
