Their adventure had started the previous 24 hours when they got disoriented due to the dense fog
All is well in the end, in the adventure of two friends aged 19 and 20 who had gone to the beautiful paths of Giona, near the “Pyramid”, but were disoriented by the fog and their fate was unknown for some time.
Finally, around 2:30 PM on Monday (26/2), they were spotted by a resident of the area having taken the path to Sykia, being in good health.
Their adventure had started the previous 24 hours when they got disoriented due to the dense fog and the prevailing rain and called “112”.
However, they ran out of battery and did not have time to provide details, while the authorities were allegedly contacted by the father of one of the children, expressing his anxiety over the fact that they had not returned.
From Monday morning, 6 vehicles of the Fire Services with 12 men, among them a vehicle of the Mountaineering Team of the 7th EMAK from Lamia, began to “plow” the mountain starting from Stromi and reaching below the Pyramid.
But finally the two people had descended from the other side and were able to approach a safe place. There, they were spotted by a citizen who knew the area and also participated in the search for them.
