In additional investigative acts, according to information, the special appellate investigator Sotiris Baikamis, who handles the heavy task of the investigation into the tragedy of Tempi, will proceed.

According to information, the investigator after the expert opinion of the technical consultant appointed by relatives of the victims, who has a different approach to many issues, in relation to the expert opinion appointed by the justice, is expected to immediately proceed with the appointment of a new expert.

In particular, according to the same information, the appellant investigator will appoint a new expert to answer all the unanswered questions to date, mainly in relation to the explosion that accompanied the collision of the fatal trains.

According to the same information, the new expert will come from the National Technical University of Athens.

At the same time, requests have been submitted to the appellant investigator by relatives of the victims for the immediate dispatch of the flammable material to a special laboratory in Canada that can safely certify what it was and whether it contributed to the tragedy, a request that is being seriously considered by the investigation, as well as that concerning videos, parts of which have been erased, making it difficult to fully capture the course of the fatal train.

For the videos, the forensic investigation aims to send them soon to a special laboratory in London that can recover all the deleted data.

However, in relation to the start time of the trial for the Tempe tragedy, sources from the judiciary said that any investigative acts will not delay it, because with the new criminal codes the procedure of the judicial council is no longer provided for, so it will time is gained as after the end of the interrogation the case will reach the audience directly if it is decided by the president of appeals and the competent prosecutor.
