New all-education rally against the bill for non-state universities will take place today, Thursday in Athens and Thessaloniki.
In Athens, the gathering of participants in the university will take place in Propylaia at 12:00 with the participation of teachers, students and student associations as well as other organizations and collectives
For better traffic management and traffic relief, the Greek Police will take the necessary traffic measures – where necessary and depending on the movement of the demonstrators – by making detours and traffic interruptions as the case may be.
Specifically, the traffic regulations will be applied to streets around the perimeter of the Propylaia, Omonia Square (Patision, Aiolou, etc.), Syntagma Square (Othonos, Amalia and Vasilissis Sofia Avenues) as well as the University, Stadium and Academy.
The drivers of the vehicles are requested to avoid moving on the above roads until the completion of the gatherings – mobilisations.
Thessaloniki
In Thessaloniki, the call is made by members of student associations, labor unions, the extra-parliamentary left, as well as by people from the wider anti-authoritarian space. The gathering is scheduled for 12:00, in Kamara. Afterwards, it is expected to follow a march through the main streets of the city.
