Tomorrow Friday, the day the bill is passed, the students have planned a nationwide rally and march in the center of Athens
Today, the university’s student associations proceeded to occupy the Rector’s Office of EKPA, in Propylaiaagainst bill for the establishment of non-state universities.
Members of AUTH’s student associations are also proceeding with symbolic blockades of entrances to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.protesting the impending passage of the bill.
At EKPA the students also hung a flag of Palestine in the Rector’s Office, shouting slogans in favor of the Palestinian people.
Tomorrow Friday, the day of voting in the Parliament of the bill – the students have planned a nationwide rally and march in the center of Athens, which will end in front of the Parliament.
“For nine weeks now, the Student Associations, in Athens and nationwide, have been holding massive general assemblies, permanent occupations of schools and marches. In view of tomorrow’s passing of the bill in the Parliament, the Student Associations are organizing the second major nationwide educational march, in which Athens will once again be immersed” they state in their announcement.
