Case of sexual exploitation of a minor from Bulgaria residing in Rethimno concerns them Police authorities after the collaboration with Child’s smile.

Specifically the girl was found in the city hospital accompanied by her mother where she gave birth to a baby girl.

The doctors immediately informed the authorities mainly because of the very young age of the girl and because no father was declared.

According to data from the preliminary investigation ordered by the prosecutor it was found that in the years 2022 and 2023 one 48 year old Romanian had had sex with the minor as well as a 44-year-old Romanian man.

The two men as well as the girl’s stepfather were arrested on charges of sexual abuse.

The timeline of the case

The minor visited a private gynecologist with her mother, as she was experiencing irregularity with her period. He found out that she is pregnant and is in the seventh month and referred her to the hospital.

Then the 14-year-old and her mother went to the hospital, where the doctors undertook to monitor her. A few days ago the minor girl gave birth to a healthy baby.

At the hospital, however, it was found that there was no father and the police authorities were immediately informed. From the preliminary investigation, it emerged that the 14-year-old had in the previous months had a relationship with two adult men (the 44-year-old and the 48-year-old, who were arrested), who even have confessed that they did have sexual relations with the minor and was even known to her parents, according to the information.
