The body of an elderly man was found decomposed inside his house in Vounargo on Thursday afternoon.
According to information from ilialive.gr, the body was found by his son who lives abroad and returned to the village and went to see his father, with whom he had been in contact for a long time.
Police forces rushed to the spot to investigate the case.
As it became known earlier, the elderly former police officer, about 88 years old, lived in the village, but the neighbors said that they had to see him for at least two years, something that is being investigated by the Police.

Recent reports indicate that the deceased had not been in contact with his close relatives for the past four years.
His son, who arrived at the house after knocking on the door several times and did not receive an answer, was forced to enter the area with a locksmith, as the door was locked from the inside.
