“Every year, on this day, a day of honor for the women of the whole world who fight for a better tomorrow, we are invited to think about the truth of their lives, their daily lives, their worries and problems. The challenges they face, the victories and their defeats, setbacks and setbacks in their struggle for their rights, dignity, equality and autonomy.

And it is bitter to note that, despite the important steps that have been taken in all areas, despite the conquests and progress that has been made, gender stereotypes, discrimination, inequalities, their confinement in power relations still remain strong. And in many countries exclusion, sexual abuse, violence, repression. In a world tested by wars, the terrorism of authoritarian regimes, instability and uncertainty, the position of women becomes increasingly difficult.

And yet, women resist, progress, excel both individually and socially. The fight for gender equality is a matter for the whole society. A battle that concerns everyone and requires the active support of all of us.”
