A major turning point occurred in the hearing of the case for the murder of Babis Anagnostopoulos in September 2022 in Ephyra Ilia, as today the Joint Jury Court of Patras acquitted the accused of the homicide and brother of the victim by a unanimous decision, agreeing with the acquittal motion of the Prosecutor of the headquarters of Ioannis Paisiou.

This is a case, which, as revealed by eff. “Patris” on July 29, 2023, from the beginning to the end of the main interrogation there were many unanswered questions, they said they were mainly raised by the defense attorneys of the accused Thodoris Antonopoulos and Dionysis Zisimopoulos, highlighting specific evidence and sworn testimony, which in no case case they did not place their principal in the place where the crime was allegedly committed during the longest period of time, which EL.AS. in the indictment it is mentioned as the time of committing the crime of homicide of the 68-year-old.

After all, the indictment, which named the victim’s brother as a murderer, was debunked yesterday by the Prosecutor of the Joint Jury Court of Patras, Ioannis Paisios, with a completely documented and thorough hearing, which lasted almost an hour and a half.

Ultimately, the Court decided that it was not a case of homicide, acquitting the 71-year-old.
