The proposal of the public prosecutor in the trial behind closed doors for the rape and prostitution of the 12-year-old girl in Colonos, for the main accused, caused a great sensation in public opinion. Elias Micho.

The prosecutor proposed her acquittal of the now 56-year-old shopkeeper in Colonos for his main categories rape her pimping in almshouses, and
of coercive pimping with proceeds of prostitution as apparently not proven at trial.

According to Ioanna Mandrou, the prosecutor suggested that he be found guilty of equally serious offenses such as aggravated abuse of a minor who did not turn 14 years of age by a person who had the trust of a minor, (a serious felony) and for the leading role played by the accused in the prostitution of the child.

According to prosecutorial sources, the charge of pimping in legal terms was dropped in court because it was not proven that the 56-year-old “spoiled” the girl for a fee, i.e. it was not proven that he received money.

In addition, in legal terms, rape requires specific criteria and the distinguished abuse of a minor some others.

It was also requested that he be sentenced for:

gun ownership (had for two guns) and,
possession of pornographic material with a minor not having reached the age of 12,but without coercion and speculation.

Even if the prosecution’s motion is accepted as it is, then the main accused is faced with heavy penalties, even 15 – 20 years in prison.

Mother’s guilty plea

In favor of the guilt of the mother of the 12-year-old girl in Kolonos, the prosecutor of the headquarters spoke.

Especially according to the prosecutor’s proposal, the mother of the minor must be found guilty of a distinguished case of pornography, as she is alleged to have distributed material of the minor to her co-accused and of the distinguished case of pimping, with the aggravating circumstance that she herself is a person who has custody and the care of the minor.

According to the information, the prosecutor pointed out that the crime of pimping takes the form of extortion and facilitation through unbearable pressure, emotional blackmail and exhortations to her minor daughter to be extradited to bring her money but also through information systems in the form of unbearable pressure and exhortations for the minor to produce videos and photos in order to bring her money.

In addition, the prosecutor requested that the minor’s mother be found guilty of misdemeanor extortion against the ex-wife of Ilias Michos.
