Temporary shutdown of the “Municipal Theater” station on Metro line 3 due to work on the installation of new entrance/exit gates
The “Municipal Theater” Metro station will be closed tomorrow, Saturday 16/3 and Sunday 17/3due to works for the installation of new Electronic Ticket equipment.
According to an update from OASA, from Monday 18/3 when the station will operate normally again, passengers will use the equipment that already existed (validation and automatic vending machines), installed in new positions.
How will passengers be served during the temporary shutdown of the “Municipal Theater” station
To serve the passenger public due to the shutdown of the “Municipal Theater” station, the OASA informs that:
Lines 909 and 915 fully connect the “Municipal Theater” and “Piraeus” Stations.
In fact, an extension of the schedule of bus line 909 has been planned for the possibility of transfers during the night hours:
- Line 909 Saturday 16/3
- Last route from Agios Vasilios at 00:45
- Last route from Kratiko at 01:35
- Line 909 Sunday 17/3
- Last route from Agios Vasilios at 23:40
- Last route from Kratiko at 00:25
Also, lines 300 and 904 pass through the “Municipal Theater” Station and approach the “Piraeus” Station.
The following lines also pass from the “Municipal Theater” Station: 040, 049, 130, 217, 218, 229, 500, 906, A1, B1, X96 and TRAM line T7.
