An indictment against two people for the crime of human trafficking as an accomplice was filed by the Veria Security Department.
According to the case file, it is about father and son who allegedly, after a complaint, employed, against their will, as land workers, two foreigners, withholding their travel documents.
The two foreign men reported the incident to the Veria Security Department, stating that “father and son, they were employed as workers from the summer of 2023 until the beginning of March 2024, of land and using the threat of violence and withholding their travel documents, forced them to work in agricultural work, without paying them their earnings, while the accommodation provided to them did not meet the required living conditions.”
The criminal case filed against them will be submitted to the District Attorney of Veria, while the victims were provided with the required protection and assistance.
