M. Karystianou and P. Aslanidis, parents of victims of the train accident in Tempi, request that the Parliament comply with the provisions of the primary and secondary law of the EU
M. Karystianou and P. Aslanidis, parents of victims of the train accident of February 28, 2023, in Tempi, request from the Parliament the respect of the supremacy of the Union Law, “which mandates that the provision of Article 86 of the Constitution be automatically inapplicable” .
Specifically, at their request before of the Presidium of the Parliament, Mrs. Karystianou and Mr. Aslanidis request that the Greek Parliament comply with the provisions of the primary and secondary law of the EU which have direct effect, and “to respect the principle of the supremacy of the law of the Union which requires that the provision of art. 86 S, as a national rule of special treatment for members of the Government, since it prevents the implementation of the provisions of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the investigation, prosecution and enforcement of the law for alleged criminal acts of pr. Ministers of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Spirtzis and Konstantinos Karamanlisrelated to Convention 717/2014, to safeguard the financial interests of the EU”.
