A total of 11 months’ imprisonment on a consolidated basis for five of the six offenses for which he was charged was imposed by the Autoforo Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Lamia to the two brothers aged 42 and 32 who were arrested for an incident against a Roma family in Antheli.

Specifically, they were accused of the acts of threatening and insulting, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal possession of a shotgun, illegal possession of a gun and cartridges and aggravated assault by fire, together.

They were found guilty of the first five charges and acquitted of aggravated damage by fire, as there were doubts about the burnt objects found by the police in the residence of the Roma.

Their sentence has a 3-year suspension, while an appeal was filed asking for its disappearance.

His decision Court did not leave either side happy, as the residents of Antili maintain that they did not commit any of the acts they are accused of, on the contrary, as they say, they face the increased delinquency of the Roma on a daily basis, while on the other hand, the family that reported the attack against them , requested the exemplary punishment of the two defendants and their imprisonment.

Outside the Courts, there was no shortage of voices from gathered Roma asking for justice.
