Mico, chef Renata Vanzetto’s restaurant, has its days numbered. The Mediterranean-inspired kitchen will close on April 14 after nearly two years of operation.

Until then, the house receives customers normally, from Tuesday to Sunday. The reason for the closure is the chef’s desire to open a traveling project there, according to Vanzetto, who runs nine other businesses in São Paulo.

His plan is to fill the space with a new restaurant that will change every two years. The first, with no opening date yet, is Mamma Vanzetto, with a menu of salads, pastas and starters with an Italian accent.

Those who are going to say goodbye to Mico, located on the upper floor of Mi.Ado, in the coming weeks can try recipes such as fried kibbeh with cashew nuts, served with garlic cream (R$ 22) and octopus in white wine, pulled in garlic and accompanied by golden potatoes (R$ 220 for two people). Pastas, such as hummus, esfihas, salads and dishes with meat and fish make up the menu.

The chef’s other ventures are Ema, Matilda Lanches, Muquifo, Mé Taberna, Mi.Ado, MeGusta Bar, Mercearia Maravilha —all on Rua Bela Cintra, in the west zone of the capital—, Pescadora (in Ilhabela, on the coast) and a buffet.
