Air masses over parts of Eastern Europe are expected to be up to 17-18 degrees Celsius above season-normal levels
The temperature in the country will fluctuate at very high levels for the season over the next four days.
According to the latest prognostic data from the National Observatory of Athens, the atmospheric circulation over Europe in the coming days will favor the transfer of extremely warm for the season gas masses from Africa to Eastern Europe and our country, with the peak expected on three days Sunday 31/03 – Tuesday 02/04.
Air masses over parts of Eastern Europe are expected to be up to 17-18 degrees Celsius above normal for the season, according to estimates.
As can be seen in the graph below, on Monday afternoon the air masses over our country will be up to 15-16 degrees Celsius higher than the normal levels for the season.
As for surface temperatures and how high they will go depends on many factors such as cloud cover and wind, however on current conditions the temperature at the start of next week is likely to approach or even exceed 30 degrees Celsius in parts of the mainland.
