Scenes from a movie unfolded in the morning on the Athens – Lamia highway, with a stolen Nissan X TRAIL, which was moving in the direction of Northern Greece.

According to the website “lamiareport”the driver of the stolen vehicle, as it turned out afterwards, was a young Syrian, whose name has been involved again in thefts, but also in the transport of illegal immigrants from the border, however, for reasons of asylum, he remains out of prison in our country.

What the young thief had not taken into account, was that the new and spacious model that he had chosen to steal had a tracking system (GPS) so that as soon as the theft was noticed, its location was tracked.

The “100” center in Fthiotida put the forces on alert on the highway, with the black vehicle initially located just outside Kamena Vourla and then in Thermopylae.

A vehicle of the 2nd Highway Traffic Department of Fthiotida, managed to follow him and shortly after the Bralos intersection was in front of him to block his way. The young driver then tried to avoid it and suddenly pushed into the new exit to Karpenisi, but the police proved to be even more capable and they too managed to change course by entering the junction with the E65.

Inside the entrance of the E65, the crew of the B’TT Motorways of Fthiotida managed to pass it again, while another vehicle of the same service had similarly arrived from behind, blocking it in the middle of the road!

Two more stations of the DA Fthiotida arrived at the scene very quickly, including police officers from the Lamia Security Sub-Directorate who took over the preliminary investigation, since as we noted this is a well-known physiognomy that concerns the Authorities.

The stolen vehicle was impounded and will be returned to its owner, fortunately undamaged.
