A tragic incident occurred at noon on Sunday shortly after 12 at the Soulis flyover at the entrance of Lamia.
According to Lamianow, 28-year-old Dimitris Soropanis was riding his motorcycle that was heading from Athens to Lamia. During his entry into the flyover, it is unknown how he lost control of his engine, as a result of which he hit the protective bars on the side of the road at high speed and lost his life.
The collision was fierce and the unfortunate Dimitris, despite wearing a helmet and protective uniform, lost his life instantly according to the first information. An EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene but unfortunately he had passed away. The traffic police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the exact causes of the tragic event.
The tragic news fell like lightning in the area of ​​Livanates, where Dimitris came from, who was fighting with the colors of Lokros Atalantis. Soropanis played as a center and had played in the past, in Proodeftiki Larymnas, Kynos Livanaton, Ionikos Lamias, AEL and Panathinaikos.
