The citizens, regardless of nationality, who stayed in hotels that were evacuated during the occurrence of the forest fires in Rose on July 2023they can – as early as yesterday, April 10 – apply financial aid through the Action “Financial aid to support the tourism of the island of Rhodes” at vouchers.gov.gr.

The action “Rhodes Week”is implemented after the signing of the Joint Ministerial Decision (No. 3898 K.Y.A. (Issue B’ 1398/01.03.2024) as amended by the number 5358 K.Y.A. (Issue B’ 1895 /26.03.2024)) of the Ministers of Tourism, Olga Kefalogiannis, Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Athanasios Petralias.

Natural persons who have been added to the Register of Beneficiaries can apply for the issuance of an e-voucher in order to stay in the Accommodation Hotels of their choice.

More specifically, beneficiaries can secure free accommodation for 7 (seven) consecutive days, six (6) nights, in Rhodes and in a hotel of their choice, among those participating in the action, in one of the two following periods:

1st Term – Spring (from 10/4/2024 to 31/5/2024)
2nd Period – Autumn (from 1/10/2024 to 15/11/2024)

The compensation amounts of the hotels, for the free accommodation of the beneficiaries, are defined as follows:

• For 1,2,3 star hotels and up to triple room type, €300 for the entire stay,

• For 1,2,3 star hotels and above triple room type, €400 for the entire stay,

• For 4 and 5 star hotels and up to a triple room type, €400 for the entire stay,

• For 4 and 5 star hotels and above triple room type, €500 for the entire stay.

Beneficiaries, depending on the type of hotel and the category of the room they stayed in during the fires, can choose the corresponding accommodation from the list of Hospitality Hotels.

It is noted that when choosing a hotel, their availability will be taken into account, so that the availability determined by the hotel for the corresponding period is not exceeded. Beneficiaries can access the contact details of the Accommodation Hotels (see https://vouchers.gov.gr/sites/default/files/2024-04/accommodation_hotels_final_table_09042024-rodosweek.pdf ) in order to confirm with the accommodation its availability for the period they wish and to arrange the further details of their stay.

“Rodos Week” is implemented by the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures (EDYTE S.A. – GRNET), a body of the Ministry of Digital Governance, and is financed by the regular budget of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
