In order to get money, ostensibly for the funeral, he printed an obituary for his wife who nevertheless lives and reigns
A 42-year-old man from Messara who had made a habit, according to what the Police are investigating, did not have his God… contrive to evoke sympathy and sympathy.
The “message” of the case began to unravel when a priest from a neighboring prefecture reported to the Police that during the last quarter, the 42-year-old had managed to extract an amount exceeding 6,000 euros, presenting false facts as true.
The Phaistos Police Department, in the context of investigating the complaint, went to the 42-year-old’s house where they carried out a check, finding a bayonet that sent (initially), the 42-year-old to the detention center.
At the same time, his mobile phone was confiscated as well as a pad of receipts, which the man is believed to have “cut” as proof of the money he received.
However, dozens of priests’ telephone numbers were found on his mobile phone, inside and outside Crete – even as far as Mount Athos and the Petraki Monastery, the 42-year-old had reached.
However, it seems that the man’s imagination “galloped” and so in order for his request for money to be believed, he did not hesitate – as can be seen from the report from the area where the 42-year-old lives – to print … a memorial for his wife, the which he sent to a priest outside Crete, in order to ask for money for the funeral.
Except that the 42-year-old’s wife … lives and reigns. As part of the investigation into the case, this act allegedly committed by the 42-year-old is also under the “microscope”.
