The formation Working Group on Cottonthe ministry announced of Rural Development and Food.

The team’s task is to analyze and examine all the problems related to the cotton production chain, to improving quality, to its classification – standardization, processing and industrial processing, to supporting the sector and to the operation of the D.O.B. and the submission of proposals for the resolution of said problems.

According to the announcement of the FSAAT, the Working Group consists of:

– Georgios Stratakos, General Secretary of Rural Development and Food of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, as President, without deputy.

– Apostolo Polymeros, head of the General Directorate of Agriculture, employee of the PE Geotechnics branch, specialty PE Agronomists, with grade A, as a regular member, without a deputy.

– Georgia Kostopoulou, employee of the PE Geotechnics branch, PEAgronomist specialty, with grade A, head of the Cultivation Systems and Crop Products Division, as a regular member, with Vassiliki Laina as deputy, employee of the same branch, specialty, grade and Division, head of replenishment of the Department of Industrial Plants (Cotton & Other Textile Plants, Tobacco, Sugar Beet, Energy Crops).

– Christos Avgoulas, Professor Emeritus of the Agricultural University of Athens, as a regular member, without a deputy.

– Antonio Siarkos, President of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Union of Cotton Ginners and Exporters (PEEEB), as a regular member, with Prodromos Ousoultzoglou as deputy, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the same Union.

– Efthimios Foteinos, President of the Board of Directors of the Vamvakos Interprofessional Organization (D.O.B.), as a regular member, with Vasilios Giannakos as deputy, member of the Board of Directors of the same Union.

– Evripides Dontas, Vice-President of the Association of Greek Industrial Textile Workers (S.E.V.K.), with Dimitrios Polychrono, a member of the same Association, as his deputy.

– Athanassios Tsoutsa, President of the Board of Directors of the Propagation Material Enterprises Association (SEPY), as a regular member, with Efthimis Efthimiadis as deputy, member of the Board of Directors of the same Association.

The term of office of the chairman and members of the working group is set for two years. The Working Group is unpaid.
