The thirty years patriarchal ministry of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew honored the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), in the context of an official visit of its delegation to Traffic light.

The mission, led by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Nikos Papaioannou, was organized from 9-11 February, at the initiative of the Dean of the Theological School and was attended by Vice Rectors Charalambos Feidas and Efstratios Stylianidis, President of the , Bishop of Amori Nikiforos, the dean of the Theological School Professor Chrysostomos Stamoulis, as well as members of the Organizing Committee of the Conference “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew: Thirty years of ministry”.

Mr. Bartholomew welcomed at its headquarters Of the Ecumenical Patriarchate the delegation of AUTH and officially received the two volumes of Proceedings of the 5th International Congress of Orthodox Theology dedicated to him.

THE rector of AUTH invited him Patriarch to attend and bless the work of the Conference, organized in his honor and to take place next May, at Thessaloniki (after postponement due to COVID).

Mr. Bartholomew expressed his emotion for the presence of the professors of AUTh in Constantinoplecongratulated them for their rich scientific, research and teaching work and accepted the invitation to attend the conference in his honor, while receiving the two volumes of the Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Orthodox Theology, said that they contribute to the promotion of the Holy and Great Session at the end of the universe.

On the second day of the visit of the AUTh mission to Istanbul, the documentary “Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew” was screened. 30 years of ministry “, which was produced in the framework of the organization of the conference. The screening of the English version of the documentary took place at the Cultural Center of I.N. Archbishops of the Great Stream (Arnavutköy), and in addition to the Rector’s Office and the representatives of the Theological School and the Patriarchal Institute of Patriarchal Studies, the event was honored by the presence of the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne, His Eminence USA in Istanbul Daria Darnell, the representative of the Greek Consulate of the City, the leaders of the heterodox Christian communities and other religions of the City, agents of the Greek Diaspora. The first world screening of this historical documentary, in the Greek language, took place in Thessaloniki, on December 18, 2021.
