The bad weather has been ongoing since last night – express, with storms and gale-force winds, which is affecting the country, fortunately without serious problems.
From the noon of Friday 19/04 to the morning of Saturday 20/04, according to meteo.gr, the highest rain levels were recorded in Thessaly and Sporades.
The maximum amount of rain to date was recorded in Glossa Skopelos (119mm) followed by the town of Karditsa (117mm).
As regards the development of the weather in the next few hours, the phenomena are expected to be gradually limited to the northeastern continental and eastern parts of the Aegean and to weaken.
All the forces of the fire brigade and Civil Protection were on foot to help where needed.
As it became known from the fire department, so far no particular problems have been recorded, while the Operations Center of the Fire Department has not received any calls for water pumping and for the extrication of people except for cutting down trees in some areas of the country.
