Chaos prevailed today in courts of Volos on the occasion of the trial of Thomas Klimopoulos and Ar. Frangoudakis, after a lawsuit by councilors of the Beu faction, for causing incidents at a meeting of the Volos Municipal Council in 2017.

After a brief interruption of the trial, Zoi Konstantopoulou, the defense attorney for the defendants, announced to the court that one of the defendants, Mr. Fragoudakis, felt unwell due to high blood pressure and was taken to the hospital.

An intense dialogue ensued between Ms. Konstantopoulou and the President of the Court, because she was given only two minutes to file her statement. Mrs. Konstantopoulou accused the president that earlier she caused extreme tension, as a result of which No. was taken to the hospital. Frangoudakis. “He asserted his rights and you intentionally harmed him. You targeted defendants for the umpteenth time. You are the mayor’s court,” she said and submitted a written request asking to know why 5 witnesses were examined without her being present.

“You’re acting like a judge taking orders from Ah. “He despises the defendants,” said Zoe Konstantopoulou, addressing the president of the Court and requested that the trial be suspended so that Mr. Fragoudakis’ health condition could be established. He also called on the president to declare her relationship with Vassilis Zaheila who beat up a municipal councilor of LAS and asked him to stay away from the court because, as he said, he has a bias in favor of Ah. Beu. “You are extremely subservient to the municipal authority,” Mrs. Konstantopoulou pointed out, always addressing the president of the seat.

In the meantime, a request for interruption due to health disorder of No. Frangoudaki, as the request to re-examine the five witnesses was also rejected.

This was followed by the explosion of the district attorney against Zoe Konstantopoulou for the president’s request to abstain, with Mrs. Konstantopoulou declaring that she will file a lawsuit against the president of the district before the prosecutor and the police authority, because she violates her duty and deviates in procedural orders to defend. In this context, a 10-minute adjournment was requested for the submission of the lawsuit.

Watch video with the statement of Ms. Konstantopoulou:

With the resumption of the trial, the president of the seat asked to be informed by the Complaints Department if a lawsuit was filed against her, and Mrs. Konstantopoulou stated that the president is ridiculing the process.

Mrs. Konstantopoulou submitted a request for the exception of the president. He also accused her of calling the police. Also, Zoe Konstantopoulou filed a request for the exemption of the district attorney and stated that she does not recognize the president as a judge. A new interruption of the episodic trial followed.

When the trial started again, the exemption requests filed by Mrs. Konstantopoulou were rejected and the former municipal councilor D. Livoyiannis was called to testify, who was the one who filed a lawsuit against Mr. Frangoudakis and Klimopoulos, a fact that angered the defense attorney. Ms. Konstantopoulou estimated that, since the exemption requests were not considered, the hearing process could not continue. The president took her floor and began to examine the witness. Mr. Livoiannis, although he sued the defendants because they allegedly closed the door of a municipal council meeting during a tense time, he testified that he never saw them do it. In other words, he clearly admitted, like the previous prosecution witnesses, that they were slandered with the lawsuit. The president did not allow Ms. Konstantopoulou to examine the witness and called the other plaintiff A. Zervas. Konstantopoulou submitted a new request for exemption, complaining that Mr. Livoyiannis had an acquaintance with the president, a fact that, as she complained, they had concealed.

New exception request was also filed against the prosecutor, because she did not allow the examination of witnesses, with Ms. Konstantopoulou repeating that the court is dragging behind Ah. Beo. The requests were denied, and plaintiff A. Zervas continued to testify, stating that he did not even remember whether anyone closed the door to the city council at the impugned special meeting. And he himself, although he sued Frangoudakis and Klimopoulos, denied that he saw them commit any act of obstructing the council meeting or violence. In fact, he declared that he does not even remember what happened in the chaos. The president did not allow the questions to the witness from Ms. Konstantopoulou, with the advocate shouting …”shame”. Questions to Mr. Zervas were asked by Mr. Klimopoulos, but the president forbade answers to be given. He also requested that the witnesses who sued the defendants be detained for perjury.

In the same vein, the deposition of No. Savvakis, who did not even remember that he had testified against the defendants in the preliminary investigation. In every question put to the witness by Mrs. Konstantopoulou, the president forbade answers. Konstantopoulou is furious announced the filing of a new lawsuit against the president. In the meantime, Mr. Klimopoulos asked to put questions to the witness and the chairperson, as soon as the first question was asked about the reason for the episodic meeting of the municipal council in 2017, asked that there be no answer. In a second question about whether the defendants forbade Mr. Savvakis to leave the room, the latter defiantly replied that he did not remember them even though he sued them.

The trial continued with the examination of Mrs. Despina Kotoglou, who also stated that she did not remember what happened in 2017, but it was surprising that while all the witnesses declared “amnesia” and belittled the process, no one was asked why they were sued defendants. The accused Mr. Klimopoulos expressed a question about the procedure that was followed, as he did not receive any answer as to why he was finally sued. “Why are we here Madam President? Why don’t you let me ask” asked Mr. Klimopoulos.

In the meantime, Ms. Konstantopoulou called the police department and requested that an automatic procedure be applied against the president, while the president examined Mr. St. Papaevstathiou, with the image referring to a parody.

The former members of the municipal council S. Chalaris and N. Morfogianni admitted that they sued Klimopoulos and Fragoudakis without cause. Their memory did not record whether the defendants used violence against them. Natasha Morfogianni was forbidden by the president to answer if she remembered filing a memorandum against the defendants. The room froze when at that time Zoi Konstantopoulou, addressing the president, asked her if the money was a lot… implying that it had been financed.
