A 36-year-old foreigner was arrested yesterday morning in the area of ​​Menidi, by OPKE police officers, for attempted theft with complicity and infidelity while his accomplices are being sought.

In particular, according to ELAS, the 36-year-old together with his accomplices, using a stolen car, attempted to reverse the shutters of a mobile phone store in the Glyfada area, in order to gain access to its interior, however, the alarm sounded and they escaped.

At the same time, the Operations Center was informed and after coordinated actions and targeted searches by the police forces, the car in question was located by the ‘Immediate Action’ police in N.E.O. Athens – Lamia at the height of the Attica road.

Police using signals called the driver to stop, but he sped off. They followed the vehicle to the area of ​​Menidi, where it stopped and the perpetrators fled on foot.

The police officers continued the search and located the 36-year-old and took him to the Glyfada Security Department, where he was identified as one of the perpetrators of the above crimes.

The arrested person, with the case filed against him by the Glyfada Security Department, was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
