The whole of the French media refers to yesterday’s (Friday) ceremony at the Panathenaic Stadium, during which Greece surrendered the Olympic flame to the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games “Paris 2024”.

The newspaper Le Monde in its publication entitled “Paris 2024: In Athens, Tony Estangue receives the Olympic flame for France” reports that Greece formally handed over the Olympic flame to the president of the organizing committee of the Paris Olympic Games.

From Athens, where she traveled for the second time in a row in eleven days, the French Minister of Sports, Amelie Oudea-Castera stated in the same newspaper that “I feel great emotion where I am at this Stadium”, and recalled “the multi-level cooperation of France with Greece”.

He referred in particular to the dispatch of thirteen Greek police officers to France for the Olympic Games, but also to the facilities provided by France in matters concerning the training of the Greek teams. Amelie Udea-Castera expressed the hope that “these Olympic Games will send a global message around the values ​​of peace and friendship” and reminded that they will be the first “ecological and decentralized” in history, with events in 73 communities.
