The revelations about drug trafficking in a school in Patras are shocking. The ring had students sell drugs inside the school and some were even blackmailed and beaten when they failed.

The criminal organization was dismantled by Narcotics Enforcement officers. The police arrested 12 people namely, four men who are accused as leading members of the criminal organization, as well as six men and two women, who are accused as members of the same organization. Yes, among those arrested four minors, aged 14, 15 and 17, are also included.

Also, six parents and guardians of minors were arrestedn, as well as a high school student of Patras, who received drugs from the criminal organization, for her own use.

In particular, according to the Police, men of the Patras Narcotics Prosecution Department, using evidence gathered during their investigations, verified that the criminal organization had been operating in Patras for at least a year.

It was formed at the expense of the twelve members of the criminal organization criminal case filefor the case-by-case offences, of founding and participating in a criminal organization for the purpose of the distinguished case of trafficking by an adult, who transports minors for this purpose, violence against officials and judicial persons and violation of the law on weapons.

At the expense of the parents and guardians of minors a criminal case was filed for neglecting the supervision of a minor, while against the student for the crime of possession of drugs for personal use.
In particular, the police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of Patras, using evidence and information they collected during their investigations, verified the activity of the criminal organization, which is estimated to have been active in Patras for at least a year.

The police confirmed that in the last two months, in Patras, the criminal organization completed at least (65) drug buys and more specifically cannabis, cocaine and MDMA, some of which were made to underage customers, including on school premises.

The leading members of the criminal organization imposed absolute loyalty on the rest of the members and especially on the four minors arrested and in order to achieve their goal they committed threats and beatings to their minor accompliceswho were constantly pressured to attract new customers, even minor students from the school environment.

During the investigations, the police officers of the Patras Narcotics Prosecution Department found and seized, in a high school complex in Patras, 80 grams of cannabis, a precision electronic scale and three packages with ready-to-use small amounts of cannabis.

The criminal organization, through its minor members, used the school compound as a storage area and hiding the drugs and as a base for their further trafficking. The defendants had even written on a wall of the school complex the selling price of a gram of cannabis.

In searches carried out in the homes of the arrested and also in physical searches, the police found and confiscated:

• 212.9 grams of raw cannabis,

• 21.8 grams of cocaine

• 29.7 grams of MDMA

• two improvised cigarettes with a mixture of hemp and tobacco

• Four knives (butterfly type),

• Two iron fists,

• A wooden stick,

• three precision electronic scales and

• two cars and one motorcycle

The twelve arrested members of the criminal organization were taken today to the Prosecutor of First Instance of Patras, to whom the case against the parents of the minors and the high school student, who possessed drugs, will be submitted.
