The whole speeding up of the proceedings aims to enable the Prosecutor’s Office to determine the appellate trial both for those convicted who appeal, as well as for the appeals likely to be brought by the relatives of the dead and burned, in terms of the part of the decision by which they were acquitted of those involved persons in this case.
However, the lawyers of the relatives of the victims are expected to submit a request to the Prosecutor’s Office of Appeals to appeal the decision of the Three-member Misdemeanor Appeals Court, both in terms of the part of the sentences imposed on the convicted, as well as in terms of the part of the acquittals in the trial for the fire in the Eye.
It is reminded that next July will be 6 years since the tragedy in Mati and the case must immediately be determined and tried in the Court of Appeal and then in the Supreme Court in the next two years, so that there are no statutes of limitations for crimes.
