Expert in… fraud it turned out gynecologist in Attica, who presented thousands of virtual visits by women to the EOPYY system, reaping great benefits without…. effort.

The gynecologist in Attica had found a way to cheat the system, using AMKA mainly of elderly women. According to the data, he had presented more than 2,300 virtual visits of women to his practice, collecting almost 23,500 euros from the fund.

The Directorate of Financial Police detected a fraud at the expense of E.O.P.Y.Y. by a gynecologist through registration of virtual visits

The virtual visits exceed -2,300-, with the total loss of the Organization amounting to -23,480- euros

A case of fraud against E.O.P.Y.Y. was detected by the Economic Police Directorate. by a gynecologist, through registration of virtual visits.

In particular, the doctor stored and used the A.M.K.A. of insured women, who had visited her to be examined at the clinic she maintains in Attica, and then she periodically registered additional visits, however, without these having taken place. In fact, in order for her illegal activity not to be noticed, she chose to use A.M.K.A. elderly women.

Using the above-mentioned methodology, the doctor was injuring E.O.P.Y.Y., collecting respectively the amount of 10 euros for each visit.

As it emerged from the research, the A.M.K.A. -99- insured women and -2,348- virtual visits were registered, while the total loss of the Organization amounts to -23,480- euros.

The file that was created was submitted to the Athens Criminal Prosecutor’s Office.
