Dyeing eggs may be one of the funnest customs for the family, Easter, however, on “damp” days it becomes the paint that remains on hands and clothes, not meaning to disappear despite repeated washings.

Fortunately, there are many tricks to remove the dye but in any case it is necessary, when dyeing the eggs, to wear gloves even if the dye penetrates them in the end.

To remove the egg dye from the leather, you can use acetone.

For a more natural solution, you can make a scrub and use a mixture of cooking oil and sugar to scrub your hands.

Another solution is eye makeup remover that will remove the paint immediately.

Also, a solution is baking soda with white vinegar which is also ideal for the pot in which you dyed the eggs.

If you have used food coloring, then use some coarse salt and vinegar.

How to remove egg dye from clothes

Dab the stain with some paper, without pressing it as it may water more. Then you turn the fabric inside out, put the garment under the tap and wash off the dye with water. Immediately afterwards wash it with your detergent at the temperature the fabric allows.

If the egg dye stain on the clothes remains, mix a tablespoon of ammonia in a cup of warm water.

Allow the garment to soak and then use regular detergent to wash it. You can do the same with baking soda and vinegar.

If you have stained with pastry colours, then use washing up liquid and warm water.

Also, as with ink, you can use milk with white vinegar and you can also spray hairspray on the stain, rubbing it with a sponge until the stain dissolves.
