It returned preserved, after years, the canopy of the Epitaphin the emblematic for Asia Minor Hellenism, Temple of Taxiarchis, at Ayvali. It was placed in the gynokonitis where it is exhibited to the visitors of the monument which was also repaired in the mid-2010s and now functions as a Museum.

In the northern part of the Church, the case of the cloth Epitaph has been saved, but it is no longer there.

THE Aivaliotis Taxiarchis after Disaster of 1922 it functioned as a warehouse for the Turkish tobacco and alcohol monopoly. His outhouse was built and served as a residence. At the end of the 20th century, it was vacated and its repair began, which revealed an amazing architectural value Lesbian basilica of the Aivaliotic type with windows, i.e. in the elevated middle aisle.

In 1999 the temple, which meanwhile had a large part of its icons looted, was reopened by Ecumenical Patriarch while the restoration of the Temple followed and from 2015 its reopening as a cultural center and Museum.

Two years ago, the preserved wooden Epitaph was returned together with also preserved smaller canopies of the same style, from the iconostasis and the despotic throne of the Temple.
