The sons of the 72-year-old woman addressed through SKAI and the show “Dekatianoi” with Yiannis Pittaras and Giorgos Grigoriadis, an appeal to identify the bicyclist who hit the elderly woman in Voula on Maundy Thursday, resulting in her instant death.
Describing the circumstances under which the accident occurred, according to the testimony of their father, who was a few meters behind his wife at the time of the accident, they stated that “two engines passed by at breakneck speed and as far as I understand the the first one was the one who knocked her down and the second one was the one who hit her.”
“My parents were trying to cross the beach, from the beach side to go up. My mother had almost crossed the entire road, that is, she had reached the left lane, my father was a few meters behind. My mother and father before crossing the road had looked and no vehicle seemed to be approaching. Neither the drivers had time to react, nor the pedestrians, with the speed the bikes were going”, said the son of the unfortunate woman and appealed to anyone who was in front of the incident to report it in order to identify the bicyclist.
