Dislocated from the Harvest Security Department, criminal group which acted on Lavrio, Keratea and Koropicommitting property crimes.

The members of the criminal group, including two minors, were spotted on Monday afternoon (13-5) in the Legraina Lavreotikis settlement fleeing from a house they had broken into.

Patrolling officers of the Lavreotiki Police Department called them for a check, however they boarded a vehicle and drove away.

A chase ensued with the consequent immobilization of the perpetrators’ vehicle on Athens-Souniou Avenue.

On the route that the vehicle was being pursued, the occupants threw burglary tools on the road, which were collected and confiscated together with other items found during the inspection of the interior of the car.

The perpetrators were then taken to the Security Department of Lavreotiki where they were identified as members of a criminal group that had been carrying out distinguished thefts since October 2023.

In terms of the gang’s modus operandi, the members with their “business” car moved around the wider Mediterranean area, targeting homes, companies, shops and various types of vehicles, breaking into and removing sums of money, valuables and personal items.

From all the collected pre-investigative material, -16- cases of burglaries and thefts committed by the members of the criminal group were discovered, with the illegal benefit they obtained exceeding -121,000- euros.

Members of the criminal group have been arrested in the past for similar offences.

The arrested persons were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
