He was attacked last Thursday afternoon a 22-year-old delivery man, in the area of Toumba. Police officers of the sub-directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, proceeded in the arrest of a 20-year-old involved in the attack on the weight of the 22-year-old.
According to the Police, people riding on two-wheelers wearing helmets and shirts with insignia of the city’s sports club, approached the victim and after immobilizing him, abused him, threatened him verbally and with a sharp object, and then beat him. In addition, it emerged that, on a social network, he received threatening messages with a sports background. The owner of the profile from which they were sent was found to be the aforementioned 20-year-old man, who also participated in the attack, and was arrested.
A police investigation is underway to identify the other perpetrators.

The immediate actions of police officers of the Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate to investigate an attack that took place on 23-05-2024 against a 22-year-old Albanian food courier, in the area of Toumba, led to the identification and arrest of a 20-year-old man involved.
In particular, as emerged from the police investigation, in the afternoon hours of (23-05-2024), people riding on two-wheelers wearing helmets and shirts with insignia of the city’s sports club, approached the victim and after immobilizing him, insulted him and threatened him verbally but also with a sharp object, while they then beat him. In addition, it emerged that, on a social network, he received threatening messages with a sports background. The owner of the profile from which they were sent was found to be the aforementioned 20-year-old man, who also participated in the attack and was arrested.
A police investigation is underway to identify the other perpetrators.
The case file filed for the offenses of bodily harm by complicity and the violation of the legislation regarding violent offenses on the occasion of sports events will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor.
