New data on circuit of the tax authorities at Copper they see the light of day. One of the most important data that the authorities have in their hands on the case of the tax office of Chalkidais the notebook kept by the director, in which are written names of businessmen who were being blackmailed by the circuitdates and amounts of money.
In the infamous diary, which according to EL.AS. allegedly belonging to the director of the DOU, are listed, according to ERT, with details the amounts from the businessmen the spiral allegedly extorted.
In the notebook there are many names of businessmen in the area, while the amounts listed range from 250 euros up to 10,000 euros.
After a quick read, the main accused was allegedly jotting down what she would need for the family budget, her holidays, the supermarket, calculating some expenses with money she would collect from businessmen.
Regarding what is written in the notebook, the director’s defense attorney stated that these are amounts that have to do with the income of the DOU and nothing else.
The director and one more employee of the Tax Office of Chalkida were remanded in custody after completing their statement, while five other members were released with restrictive conditions.
AADE ordered an internal audit at the DOU after the corruption case in Chalkida
The Governor of AADE, Giorgos Pitsilis, gave an order for an internal audit on the process of tax refunds, as well as the granting of proof of tax awareness, after the case of corruption at the DOU of Chalkida.
The control will be carried out both in the DOUs, on a sample basis, from all over Greece, in the first phase, and in the central system.
At the same time, the audit by the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the AADE continues at the DOU of Chalkida, through the examination and analysis of all files, given the order of Mr. Pitsilis for a five-year audit.
It is recalled that audit cases are transferred from the DOU of Chalkida, to the audit centers of Attica, and the auditors of this particular service are included in ELKE Attica, but without auditing the cases of taxpayers of Evia, as well as all the employees of this tax office.
